Among Us 3D is coming to Steam May 5, so sus-pect some more space hijinx very soon

Among Us 3D, a new version of the viral hit that took the gaming world by storm a few years back, finally has a release date. The game will be launching May 5, 2025, on Steam – so grab some crew mates, call an emergency meeting, and get ready to hop back into it.

The announcement came via the game’s official Twitter account, alongside a new gameplay trailer showing off some sussy action. We see several tasks being done on the ship, as well as various customisation options and the imposter getting up to no good. You can wishlist it now on Steam.

This game, a direct sequel to the original Among Us as well as a 3D VR version of the game that first dropped in 2022, aims to revive a bit of the momentum from Innersloth’s hit indie game. With between 4-10 playersi in a single lobby, it’ll have proximity chat, crossplay, new mini-games, and ample customisation options. In addition, there’s a wishlist event going on right now, urging folks to make their interest in the game official in droves to unlock new stuff. This includes new hats and special apparel for your bean.

It’s wild to see how far Innersloth and Among Us have come. The original game was a major component in a record-breaking Steam concurrent player count, and ultimately led to Innersloth kicking off its own indie publishing venture. Whether there’s more in store for the Among Us IP in the future remains to be seen, but it certainly remains a major draw for the company as a whole.
