Monster Hunter Wilds can’t stop hunting Capcom company records, as it blows past 10 million units sold

Just over a month since the game dove from a Seikret and latched onto the back of the gaming world, Monster Hunter Wilds has sold over 10 million units across all platforms. This figure smashes the previous one-month sale record for Capcom, cementing the game as a massive financial success as well as a critical darling.

This figure was released by Capcom via a press release on the Capcom investor relations website. The post doesn’t state which platform has netted the most players, but it does note that this is the first game in the series to introduce not only crossplay, but a simultaneous release across PC and consoles.

Monster Hunter Wilds passes this milestone right before the game gets its first major free title update on April 4, where it’ll get a new monster for folks to hunt, a new level difficulty for players to throw themselves at, a hub for hunters to hang out at, and more. Obviously, all games do lose that sweet, sweet launch momentum over time, but maybe with this big update around the corner Wilds can get another bump in players leading into the summer.

If not that, there are always mods for PC players. These have been a major draw for plenty of of folks, who have been turning Arkveld into Nata, or a Seikret into Thomas the Tank Engine, or what have you.
